4 + 1 Chemistry Programs
We are please to announce the creation of two new tracks within the Chemistry major through M.S. Express Application for Students at Columbia University and Barnard College.
Chemical Engineering
The chemistry major will enable students to complete a Masters degree in chemical engineering at Columbia in 15 months (one academic year + two summers). This major is designed to be used with the express master's program that offers students with an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or better an expedited admissions process. To be clear, we have not changed our existing major in any way. We've simply created an additional track through the chemistry major for students with strong quantitative skills and a strong interest in chemical engineering. Copius advising both from faculty in the chemistry department at Barnard and, if helpful, faculty members in the chemical engineering department at Columbia is available.
